Summer is wrapping up and I am happy to be finally finished with my canning. I was so grateful to have some very helpful kids that worked alongside me as I canned tomatoes and pears. We even froze zucchini and peaches for who-knows-what. Our first garden turned out wonderfully, and the kids think it is so cool to walk out into the back yard to get fresh food. Next year we hope to make a few more garden beds and grow some different kinds of foods.
Nate has started his football season, and they received their jerseys at a Pep Assembly evening where the local GK High School football team called each boy and handed them their jersey, and it even had thier name on it.
Now, getting my boy out of that jersey...that is another story.
