Always keep a bottle of lotion handy when driving with your new student driver.
I am a nervous Parent Passenger. I have found that I wring my hands as my new driver is driving. And as not to distract my new driver I comment, "Boy, my hands are dry. I need lotion." I can apply and reapply all during her driving. Now, along with my nervous energy I have soft and supple hands.
