This past week we had Cub Scout Day Camp at our house. Day 1 was filled with songs, skits, archery, BB guns, bird houses, milk jug ball toss, and a myriad of other crafts, events and games. Day 2 was a blast with first aid, BB guns, Archery, boat making, catapults, marshmallow shooters, 3 stick stools, mancala, Frisbee tag, and the swim test. (Yes, this farmer tanned, worn out mother put on her swim suit for the first time this season.) Day 3 brought even more fun as we headed to the lake, where the boys were able to swim, canoe, learn water rescue safety and cook in the great outdoors. Our last day, Friday, concluded the Day Camp with their BB gun and archery skill tests. The boys all brought their bikes for a bike trip to a local fishing hole, where the boys experienced fishing at its best. We wrapped up the camp with a presentation of advancements and awards, the skits for the parents and display all of our crafts and creations. Scouting…what fun!!
