Birthday Girl

15 wonderful and amazing things to know about Ashley....

1. She cleans the house without being asked, and does an incredible job! (I even caught her cleaning her bathroom one morning before school.)


2. Ashley has a fantastic imagination, and can whip up ingenious creations from paper, yarn, play dough or food in an instant.


3. She is the master of baking and cooking. There are always goodies to be had at our house that are handmade by this little chef.


4. Very responsible…yes, she is…and I love that about her.


5. She laughs and giggles and smiles. Everyone needs a teenager that does that.


6. When Ashley was 6 years old, she had a big birthday party, and donated all of her toys to the police station’s toy drive. The local paper came by and did a story about her and she had her picture on the front page of the paper.


7. Ashley weighed in at a whopping 7 pounds when she was born. She was an emergency C-section and was breech. Her little legs would fold up over her head for months after she was born…rather funny.


8. Ashley works very hard. She jumps right in to help out regardless of what is going on or how dirty or strenuous the task.


9. Ashley is a soccer nut. She just started playing last year, and can’t wait for the season to start soon.


10. This girl has muscles! She may be small, but she is dang tough. On several occasions, she has shown incredible strength…thanks for helping me get the riding lawnmower unstuck this past summer...several times!


11. She is dying to drive, but she is too short to see over the steering wheel. We keep telling her that when she doesn’t need a booster seat to ride in the car, then she can learn to drive.



12. Ashley loves animals. Big or small. (Not so much reptiles…but furry animals.)


13. Ashley loves to take pictures. She is a great photographer and sees things with an artful eye.


14. Movie buff!!! Yep, this girl loves movies. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars…the good stuff. She is also a big fan of Brian Regan and John Bytheway.


15. Christmas music is her all-time favorite! She will listen year round.
